Senior Water Treatment Specialist
$110,000 - $150,000 a year

Senior Process Engineer
Vancouver, BC; Toronto, ON; Saskatoon, SK; Remote - Regular - Full-Time
As a Senior Water Treatment Specialist, you will be responsible for working within the engineering and water treatment optimization team to provide senior-level input and support for the design, construction, commissioning and optimization of water treatment systems.
About the Role- Provide senior-level input and operational support for the design, construction, commissioning and optimization of water treatment systems.
- Provide direction and assist the performance of the water treatment, remediation and reclamation projects.
- Supports risk analysis with project management.
- Build and maintain client relationships through ongoing communication and understanding of client goals.
- Travel to potential and existing work sites to interface with on-site staff, vendors, customers, and regulatory personnel.
- Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise.
- Develop and update documentation including operational manuals, drawings and site-specific information for the safety, operations, and maintenance of the site.
- Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance.
- Identify and recommend improvements to operations to ensure assigned functions are efficient and cost effective.
- Take proper safety precautions, anticipate unsafe circumstances, and act accordingly to prevent accidents.
- Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise.
- Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
- Mentor and provide technical training to junior team members and operators.
- All other duties as required.
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, process, or environmental engineering.
- Professional Engineering designation required.
Experience
- 7+ years of previous experience working water treatment and consulting.
- Previous experience in industrial wastewater projects.
- Ability to work effectively with team members as well as lead independent projects
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
