You will be responsible for managing complex SAP environments, including S/4HANA, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise application infrastructure.
Working across implementation, operations, migration, and support activities, you will help ensure high availability, security, and performance for critical business systems.
The position requires strong technical ownership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with global teams and customers.
You will contribute to SAP modernization initiatives, including cloud migrations, system upgrades, automation improvements, and architecture enhancements.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Consultant, SAP Basis, you will manage, support, and optimize complex SAP environments while ensuring system reliability, security, and operational excellence. You will work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and customers to deliver high-quality SAP services and continuous improvements.

Install, configure, administer, and support SAP S/4HANA, ERP, NetWeaver, BW, BPC, FIORI/Gateway, Solution Manager, Web Dispatcher, Content Server, and related SAP technologies.
Manage SAP Java-based environments, including Enterprise Portal, Process Orchestrator, and other NetWeaver Java solutions.
Perform SAP system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and proactive maintenance across three-tier SAP landscapes.
Support SAP migrations, upgrades, system conversions, and SAP S/4HANA transformation projects using established methodologies.
Execute SAP system copies, client administration activities, backup and recovery procedures, and database administration tasks.
Manage and support SAP databases including HANA, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Support cloud migration initiatives across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including hybrid and enterprise cloud environments.
Implement and maintain SAP Cloud Platform, Cloud Connector, and cloud-based authentication solutions.
Monitor incidents, requests, changes, and problem management processes while ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
Handle major incidents, escalations, root-cause analysis, and incident reporting.
Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, runbooks, knowledge articles, and operational methodologies.
Perform SAP security reviews, Early Watch Analysis, system health checks, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, developers, security specialists, automation teams, and customer stakeholders.
Improve monitoring capabilities and implement permanent solutions for recurring operational issues.
Participate in customer meetings and provide technical guidance during critical incidents and project activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP Basis professional with deep technical knowledge of enterprise SAP environments, cloud technologies, databases, and system operations. You bring strong analytical skills, independence, and the ability to manage complex projects while maintaining excellent customer communication.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced business or technical qualifications are an asset.
10+ years of professional experience, including extensive SAP Basis administration and support experience.
10+ years of experience supporting SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
Strong SAP Java administration experience, including AS Java environments such as Enterprise Portal or Process Orchestration.
Strong database administration skills across SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and Sybase.
Strong operating system knowledge across Windows and Linux environments, including SUSE Linux and Red Hat Linux.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA conversion projects and migration methodologies.
Experience implementing SAP Java Support Package upgrades.
Knowledge of SAP FIORI deployment models, catalogs, tiles, security roles, and UI5 application structures.
Experience implementing SAP authentication scenarios using technologies such as SAML and Kerberos.
Experience with SAP Cloud Platform, Cloud Connector, SSO, and cloud-based FIORI implementations.
Experience supporting SAP environments hosted on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud platforms.
Familiarity with SAP Focused Run 2.0 or later is considered an asset.
ITIL training or certification is preferred.
SAP S/4HANA certification is considered an asset.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Ability to create structured documentation, methodologies, and operational procedures.
