Sr. Copywriter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Copywriter based in the United States.

This is a highly creative, concept-driven role within a fast-paced agency environment focused on health and wellness communications. The Sr. Copywriter will collaborate closely with art directors and creative leadership to develop compelling, strategy-led ideas that translate complex healthcare and pharmaceutical topics into clear, engaging storytelling. The role spans multiple channels, including digital, print, video, and direct response, with a strong emphasis on precision, compliance, and impact. You will contribute to campaigns that influence patient and provider audiences while ensuring every message is both creatively strong and strategically sound. This position is ideal for a writer who thrives in collaborative creative teams, enjoys solving complex communication challenges, and is motivated by work that meaningfully improves health outcomes. Experience in pharma or life sciences is highly valued in this highly specialized creative setting.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development of original, strategy-driven copy and campaign concepts across multiple channels, including digital, print, video, and direct response, ensuring work is both creatively compelling and strategically aligned.
  • Partner closely with art directors and creative directors to concept, refine, and elevate integrated campaigns that meet client objectives and brand standards.
  • Translate complex healthcare and pharmaceutical information into clear, accurate, and engaging messaging while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and claim substantiation.
  • Present creative concepts internally and to clients with clarity, confidence, and strong storytelling rationale.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and cross-functional initiatives, bringing fresh ideas and strong conceptual thinking to growth opportunities.
  • Deliver high-quality work on time and within budget while maintaining attention to detail and consistency across all deliverables.
Requirements:
  • 5–7+ years of copywriting experience within an advertising agency or creative environment, with a strong portfolio demonstrating cross-channel work across digital, print, video, and broadcast.
  • Proven experience in pharma, life sciences, or healthcare communications, with familiarity in regulatory processes, claim substantiation, and annotation workflows.
  • Strong conceptual thinking ability, paired with the discipline to execute strategy-led creative across multiple formats and audiences.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with confidence in presenting ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
