Analyst, Business & Competitive Intelligence

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyst, Business & Competitive Intelligence based in India.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support strategic business growth by combining market intelligence, competitive analysis, and sales enablement. You will work closely with business development and marketing teams to identify new commercial opportunities, strengthen customer engagement strategies, and provide valuable market insights. By analyzing industry trends, competitor activity, and target accounts, you'll contribute directly to revenue generation and business expansion. The position offers exposure to the life sciences and healthcare services industry within a collaborative, data-driven environment where research, communication, and strategic thinking are highly valued. Accountabilities:
  • Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to identify new business opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development teams to identify priority accounts, nurture prospects, and support lead generation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain structured outreach plans focused on expanding relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Monitor business news, financial updates, social media, industry conferences, and competitor activities to identify emerging market trends and opportunities.
  • Research decision-makers and key stakeholders within target organizations to support account development strategies.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure appropriate sales collateral and communication materials are available to support commercial activities.
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM and sales enablement platforms while producing regular activity and performance reports.
  • Provide ongoing market feedback regarding pricing, competitive positioning, customer needs, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting business development, sales, marketing, or competitive intelligence activities, including client identification and prospecting.
  • Understanding of B2B sales processes and the complete sales lifecycle.
  • Experience within the CRO, specialty laboratory, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industries is preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and competitive intelligence skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to diverse business audiences.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales enablement platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong business acumen, adaptability, and a proactive approach to achieving sales and business development objectives.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
