Regional Sales Director

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Sales Director based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead regional sales strategy and drive growth across a portfolio of senior living communities.
You will be responsible for improving occupancy, increasing revenue performance, and building high-performing sales teams.
The position combines strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, relationship management, and operational collaboration.
You will partner with community leaders and marketing teams to execute sales initiatives and deliver measurable business results.

Accountabilities:

The Regional Sales Director will oversee sales performance, occupancy growth, and revenue optimization across assigned communities. This role requires a strategic leader who can coach teams, analyze performance data, and implement effective sales strategies while partnering with operational and marketing stakeholders.

  • Lead regional sales strategy and execution to improve occupancy, revenue growth, deposits, move-ins, and overall sales performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop community Sales and Marketing Directors to build strong, results-oriented teams.
  • Partner with Executive Directors and leadership teams to align sales priorities with operational objectives and financial goals.
  • Review and analyze sales forecasts, pipeline activity, conversion rates, pricing strategies, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
  • Create and execute action plans for communities requiring improvements in occupancy, revenue, or sales effectiveness.
  • Conduct pipeline reviews, sales coaching sessions, and business performance reviews to ensure consistent execution.
  • Promote effective use of CRM systems, sales methodologies, reporting standards, and customer experience practices.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support campaigns, brand positioning, and community-level growth initiatives.
  • Identify successful sales practices and implement scalable strategies across the region.
  • Support strategic initiatives including new community launches, expansions, repositioning efforts, and market growth opportunities.
  • Provide market insights, competitive analysis, and performance updates to executive leadership.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior living sales leader with a strong record of driving occupancy growth, improving revenue performance, and developing successful teams. The role requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical ability, relationship-building skills, and hands-on sales leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within senior living or a related healthcare services environment.
  • Experience managing multi-site or regional sales teams preferred.
  • Strong background in Life Plan Communities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, or similar senior living models preferred.
  • Proven success improving occupancy, revenue, conversion rates, and overall sales performance.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and business planning capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and pipeline management processes.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with executives, community teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–75% as required for community support and relationship-building.
