Job Description
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operation, leadership, and performance of the Auntie Anne’s location. This position assists with team development, operational execution, sales growth, food safety compliance, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Assistant Managers are expected to work alongside their teams, actively participate in store operations, and lead by example while supporting both operational and administrative responsibilities. This position regularly participates in food production and front-line operations, including serving guests, preparing products, coaching team members, and maintaining operational standards during peak periods.
This position qualifies for tips, performance-based quarterly store bonuses, and discretionary achievement and merit bonuses.
Assistant Store Managers play a key role in supporting store performance and are often considered strong candidates for future Store Manager opportunities.
Assistant Store Managers should expect an average workweek of approximately 35–40 hours based on business needs.
Responsibilities- Support daily restaurant operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Maintain food quality, cleanliness, safety, and brand standards
- Assist with monitoring sales performance, labor management, and controllable expenses
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively
- Maintain strong operational execution during peak periods while supporting the team directly
- Serve as the manager-on-duty when assigned
- Assist with recruiting and training team members
- Coach and develop team members and shift leaders
- Help build a positive, accountable, and service-focused culture
- Support performance conversations, coaching sessions, and corrective action when necessary
- Assist with scheduling and labor management
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and product management processes
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
- Support cash handling procedures, deposits, and cash audits
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Help maintain accurate operational records and appropriate documentation
- Previous supervisory, shift leadership, or food service management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Food Manager Safety Certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification required
