Job Description

Is This Where You’re Meant To Be?

At GreenArrow, we believe purpose and passion go hand in hand. So ask yourself, is this where you’re meant to be?

The Vice President of Operations is the senior operational and strategic leader for a GreenArrow market. This role owns the full market P&L, sets the strategic operational direction for the market, and leads a team of General Managers who in turn lead and develop teams across multiple locations. The VP of Operations partners directly with executive leadership to align market execution with GreenArrow's national strategy and growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will champion a people-first culture while delivering exceptional results. This leader will promote safety, inspire high-performing teams, maintain an unwavering commitment to customer success, drive continuous improvement, and build trust through integrity, accountability, and transparent leadership.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Drive market performance and profitability by owning the full P&L, leading financial planning and forecasting, and ensuring operational resources are aligned to business priorities, customer demand, and growth objectives across all locations within the market.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations organization by coaching and mentoring General Managers, strengthening leadership accountability, and creating a sustainable talent pipeline that develops future operational leaders at every level of the business.
  • Translate strategy into execution by leading market-wide operational planning, aligning local priorities with company objectives, and ensuring consistent execution of initiatives that drive growth, improve service delivery, and enhance overall business performance.
  • Champion operational excellence through the implementation of standardized processes, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, improve quality, and create scalable solutions across multiple regions and operating locations.
  • Serve as the senior operational leader for the market, providing executive-level insights and recommendations, navigating complex operational challenges, and making critical decisions that support long-term organizational success.
  • Strengthen customer relationships and business growth by serving as a strategic partner to key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, identifying opportunities for expansion, and supporting business development efforts that grow market share and deepen customer partnerships.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and performance by establishing clear expectations, reinforcing company values, and creating an environment where leaders and teams are empowered to deliver results while maintaining the highest standards of operational and professional excellence.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent executive-level leadership experience will be considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in electrical infrastructure, construction, or a related Commercial/Industrial field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-site operations with full P&L responsibility, including direct management of Directors of Operations, General Managers, or equivalent senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated success driving financial and operational performance across a complex, geographically distributed organization.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Deep expertise in market-level P&L management, financial forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple regions and locations.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability at scale.
  • Exceptional leadership skills — goal setting, performance management, executive coaching, and multi-tier talent development.
  • Demonstrated success building a multi-layered leadership pipeline across a large, geographically distributed organization.
  • Strong command of multi-location operational processes, project lifecycle management, and quality assurance.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to present effectively to the board, executive team, clients, and public agency stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills; sound judgment in complex, high-stakes situations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the market and to national leadership engagements.

Why You'll Want to Work at GreenArrow

At GreenArrow, you'll do more than build infrastructure—you'll help build the communities that depend on it. As one of the fastest-growing providers of electrical, utility, transportation, and infrastructure services, we're committed to investing in our people as much as our projects. Here, you'll find the entrepreneurial spirit and local decision-making of a close-knit company, backed by the resources, stability, and career opportunities of a growing national organization.

We empower our employees to make an impact, value integrity, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, and believe the best ideas come from those closest to the work. Whether you're serving customers, leading crews, managing projects, or supporting operations, your contributions matter, your ideas are heard, and your career has room to grow.

When you join GreenArrow, you're not just taking a job—you're becoming part of a team that values your contributions, invests in your success, and believes great careers are built alongside great people.

As our CEO, Lloyd Kuehn, puts it:

"We differentiate ourselves in our markets because we have committed partners, our people, who are at the heart of our business and pursue excellence in everything we do. We focus on exceptional experiences for our people, including protection, development, and engagement. Here, you're joining a community that invests in you and celebrates your growth."
