Wild Finch is seeking a professional and guest-focused Server to join our team in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Wild Finch blends regional Colorado ingredients with global inspiration to create dishes that feel both familiar and unexpected, offering an elevated yet approachable dining experience.

The Server plays a critical role in delivering attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized hospitality. This position requires strong communication skills, menu knowledge, and the ability to create meaningful guest connections in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Your Future Career

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Provide attentive, professional service throughout the dining experience.
  • Guide guests through menu offerings, including seasonal dishes, regional ingredients, and beverage pairings.
  • Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address needs throughout service.
  • Deliver food and beverages in accordance with presentation and service standards.

Menu Knowledge & Brand Alignment

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of seasonal menus, specialty ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Communicate daily features and menu changes confidently and accurately.
  • Support Wild Finch’s commitment to ingredient-driven, globally inspired cuisine.
  • Promote beverage and specialty offerings when appropriate.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Process guest payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain organized workstations and service areas.
  • Assist with side work, table resets, and opening or closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow all food safety and alcohol service regulations.

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing training sessions.
  • Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and service-driven team environment.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized during high-volume service periods.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak operational periods.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
  • Ability to frequently carry trays or items weighing up to approximately 30–40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy dining environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Ability to respond effectively during peak service demands.
