Summary:
Responsible for maintaining and reporting proper loan accounting records for the bank while ensuring loan data integrity
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all data, financial and otherwise relating to the JHA 20/20 booked loan portfolio.
- Responsible for the maintenance and administration of the JHA 20/20 loan modules as well as exception tracking systems and document imaging systems.
- Responsible for timely and accurate day-to-day loan servicing including but not limited to: production of periodic statements, loan booking, account reconciliation, lien release tracking, payment application, collateral tracking, fee assessment, interest accruals, loan modifications, collateral holds, balancing the Loan Settlement GL account and internal loan-related DDA accounts, funding of new loans, and monitoring of the accuracy of loan participations.
- Assist with daily maintenance and posting of data in order to maintain the integrity of the Loan Portfolio data.
- Review interests rate changes performed and ensure that all rates that have been adjusted are service properly.
- Responsible for the quality and completion of the electronic file records being maintained (loan operations imaged files).
- Responsible for the accuracy of various loan-related reports for end-users such as the bank’s CEO, Board of Directors, Sales Team, Finance Department, Lending Team, external audit partners and regulations (i.e. Reg O, CRA, Risk Rating, Policy Exceptions, and various operational reports, etc.)
- Responsible for the preparation of weekly loan-related reports that are provided to the lenders in electronic format, such as: past due reports, classified asset report, 90 day past due reports. Additionally, responsible for preparation of Precision Lender Quality Control reports, Reserve for Bad Debts quarterly report and Quarterly WebEquity ALLL calculation and monthly ALLL calculation in Excel.
- Keeps current on regulatory requirements affecting Loan Servicing and follows the established set of Policies and Procedures for this function. Maintains operational controls:• Ensure accurate balancing of loan general ledger accounts assigned to the Bookkeeping area.
- Responsible for completing and submitting Small Business Administration reports as well as remitting fee payments.
- May network with other Jack Henry banks both locally and nationally. May participate in Jack Henry user groups, focus groups and educational conferences.
- Submits software enhancement requests, Fix Requests and Customer Work Orders as appropriate and follows through to completion. Partners with JH Loan Support to troubleshoot issues as they arise and develop depth on the JHA 20/20 platform.
- May train back-up/support staff on loan administration, loan booking, records retention & document scanning as necessary. Provides back-up coverage to Bank Operations (wire approval, ACH, account maintenance, and support to other ancillary products maintained by the bank’s operation area).
- Administrator of Mountainseed Appraisal Management, WebEquity, Precision Lender, Laser Pro, Calyx, and Credit Bureau Reporting Agencies.
- The staff member has to have or will need to earn Jack Henry Get Smart Loan Certification and will need to maintain it on an annual basis
Other Functions:
- Other duties as assigned as assigned from time to time by the Operation’s Manager or other Officers.
- Member of the Fixed Asset Committee
- Member of the Business Resumption Team
Working Conditions:
- Majority of job performed at desk. No particular hazards.
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Three to five years of banking experience in like area
- Ability to retain confidential information
- Very Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills
- Document scanning & indexing experience with software such as Synergy or the ability to learn
- Strong time management
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Adaptable, willingness to accept change
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with tact and professionalism
- Must have excellent customer relation skills, including proper phone etiquette
