This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer based in Brazil.

We are looking for an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to support and optimize enterprise virtual desktop environments in a global technology setting.
The role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) platforms while delivering high-quality technical support.
You will work across infrastructure operations, incident management, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position requires strong collaboration with international teams and technical stakeholders to enhance end-user experiences.
The ideal professional combines deep Microsoft infrastructure knowledge with troubleshooting expertise and a proactive approach to automation.

Accountabilities:

The Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will be responsible for maintaining reliable virtual desktop environments, providing advanced technical support, and ensuring service continuity across critical infrastructure operations. The role requires strong ownership of incidents, proactive monitoring, and collaboration with global teams.

  • Provide Level 2 (L2) support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and user experience indicators.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes following established operational processes.
  • Perform administration tasks related to patches, configurations, compliance, and environment maintenance.
  • Analyze recurring issues and identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
  • Support performance tuning initiatives to improve reliability and end-user experience.
  • Collaborate with global technology teams and technical specialists to resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for critical P1 incidents when required.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of support practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have strong experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, with hands-on knowledge of Microsoft technologies, virtualization solutions, and cloud operations. The professional should be analytical, proactive, and comfortable working in a global, collaborative environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure support, cloud operations, or related technical roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or corporate desktop virtualization technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, incident management, and operational support.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions, performance analysis, and critical production environments.
  • Advanced or fluent English communication skills (mandatory).
  • Fluent Portuguese communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with international teams.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced or fluent Spanish skills.
  • Experience with VMware Horizon, Citrix, or other VDI technologies.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation practices.
  • Experience applying Zero Trust and Endpoint Security best practices.
  • Microsoft Azure or Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, AZ-104, SC-200, SC-900, or AZ-900.
