Kuharchik Construction is seeking a Project Manager to support electric utility distribution projects throughout Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for someone with utility, construction, or field operations experience who enjoys working closely with customers, supporting field teams, and driving successful project execution from planning through completion. Unlike many utility construction project management roles that require extensive travel and long-term assignments away from home, this position offers the opportunity to support local operations while helping grow an expanding utility services business.

As a Project Manager, you'll serve as the primary link between our utility customers, field operations teams, and internal leadership. You'll help ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in alignment with customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage electric utility distribution projects from initiation through closeout.
• Coordinate with utility customers, field leadership, and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, productivity, and overall performance.
• Review project documentation, work packages, and production information for accuracy and completeness.
• Help ensure crews have the resources, information, and support needed to perform their work safely and efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
• Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedules, costs, or customer satisfaction.
• Support billing, reporting, forecasting, and project documentation activities.
• Maintain visibility into active work through regular coordination with field leadership and occasional site visits.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing projects within the electric utility, utility construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of electric distribution construction and operations.
• Experience supporting utility customers, contractors, or utility service providers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and project documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience in transmission, substation, or other utility infrastructure environments is also valued.
