As a Field Manager, you will coordinate crews, equipment, and materials to keep landscape construction projects running smoothly and on schedule. This is a hands-on, front-line leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, directing crews, resolving challenges in real time, and ensuring projects are completely safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of landscape construction projects to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Lead, hire, train, and grow team members, supporting their ongoing development through coaching, mentorship and leading skills-based meetings and training sessions
- Monitor labor, budgets, production hours, and job costs to keep projects on track and ensure team members understand performance expectations and progress toward goals
- Verify material deliveries and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available and properly staged for project success
- Oversee jobsite quality control to ensure all work meets project specifications, company standards and customer expectations
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, productivity, and customer value
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations, maintain accurate safety documentation, lead weekly tailgate safety meetings, and proactively identify and mitigate jobsite hazards
- Ensure all assigned vehicles, equipment, and tools are maintained in a safe, clean, and fully operational condition
Qualifications:
- Safety-first mindset with a commitment to adhering to safety regulations and promoting safe work practices
- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, business management, or related field preferred; and CLT and OSHA 30 is a plus
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past three years (required)
- Strong background in landscape construction, including experience with jobsite operations, crew coordination, equipment utilization, and project execution.
- Proven ability to effectively lead, manage, and develop team members at various levels
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally in English
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of routine job duties
