Description:

Amos-Hill Associates LLC, a leading manufacturer of decorative wood veneer, is adding a supervisor to our second shift. Hours are generally 2-10pm M-F with some weekends. We are a stable, family owned company with a plant that has operated in the same location for 44 years.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Meet production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods.
  • Lead and coach hourly production employees to achieve daily safety, quality, production, and cost objectives.
  • Coordinate daily production activities, staffing, priorities, and cross-functional support to ensure smooth operations across shifts.
  • Partner with maintenance and other plant functions to resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Foster employee engagement and development through effective communication, coaching, and performance management.
  • Regularly communicate with direct management and peers of updates regarding people, quality, cost, responsiveness, and safety in assigned area.
  • Conduct daily handover with peer supervisor, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Manage personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, operations, or production leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Supervisory and manufacturing experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of wood manufacturing, sawmills, heat treating, and/or work with industrial blades extremely helpful.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Spanish language skills a plus.
