Schedule: Full-time
Pay: $62.50-$76.92 per hour, depending on qualifications
Travel: Travel to site required during construction phase
Classification: Non-exempt, eligible for overtime
Job SummaryEnginuity Global is seeking an experienced Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to provide technical oversight and support for the design, integration, implementation, testing, and validation of the telecommunications and operational technology network infrastructure for a large greenfield data center project.
The selected candidate will support Enginuity’s defined Building Management System, SCADA, EPMS integration, and communications infrastructure scope. This position will coordinate closely with Enginuity engineering and field-services personnel, Jacobs, Vertiv, the owner, electrical contractors, and other project stakeholders.
The RCDD will serve in a technical oversight and coordination role and will not be responsible for programming Vertiv-furnished PLCs or designing and manufacturing the associated control panels.
Project EnvironmentThe Beacon Point project is a greenfield data center consisting of approximately 660,000 square feet and includes six data halls, a network core, administrative spaces, meet-me rooms, electrical and mechanical rooms, a chilled-water plant, generator systems, and a battery energy storage system.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an active construction environment and coordinating with multiple contractors and equipment vendors while maintaining clear boundaries between Enginuity’s assigned scope and work performed by others.
ResponsibilitiesProvide RCDD-level technical oversight for the project’s structured cabling, fiber-optic, telecommunications, and OT network infrastructure.
Review project drawings, specifications, equipment lists, Basis of Design documents, and vendor submittals.
Develop or review telecommunications and controls network architecture drawings.
Develop or review fiber-optic backbone diagrams, riser diagrams, and network interconnection drawings.
Review cable routing, conduit pathways, equipment-room layouts, rack layouts, patch-panel arrangements, and termination requirements.
Define and verify fiber types, strand counts, connector types, termination methods, labeling, and testing requirements.
Support identification of communications cabling required between Vertiv-furnished control panels, network equipment, field devices, and the Ignition platform.
Identify design gaps, scope gaps, interface conflicts, and constructability concerns.
Coordinate telecommunications and network interfaces amongst the company, clients, electrical contractors, IT, OT, and other system vendors.
Review material selections and bills of material for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
Review contractor shop drawings, submittals, requests for information, and field changes.
Perform onsite inspections of installed pathways, cabling, terminations, racks, cabinets, grounding, bonding, and labeling.
Witness or review fiber-optic and copper cable testing and certification.
Review OTDR, optical-loss, and copper certification test results.
Support network commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and turnover activities.
Maintain technical records and support development of redline and as-built documentation.
Participate in project coordination, design-review, construction, and commissioning meetings.
Provide technical guidance without assuming responsibility for work designed, furnished, installed, or programmed by others.
Position QualificationsActive BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification.
Demonstrated experience designing or overseeing structured cabling and fiber-optic infrastructure.
Experience with large industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.
Working knowledge of BICSI standards, TIA standards, NEC requirements, grounding and bonding practices, and applicable installation requirements.
Experience reviewing network architecture, fiber riser, pathway, interconnection, rack-layout, and equipment-room drawings.
Familiarity with single-mode and multimode fiber systems, copper Ethernet cabling, patch panels, network racks, and industrial network switches.
Experience reviewing fiber-optic and copper cable certification results.
Strong ability to identify design gaps, interface risks, and field-installation issues.
Ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, and customer representatives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Maintain high level of organization.

Efficiency in a variety of operations tools, including accounting and project management systems.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with Building Management Systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, SCADA systems, or industrial automation networks.
Familiarity with Inductive Automation Ignition.
Experience with operational technology network architecture, segmentation, VLANs, managed switches, redundancy, and cybersecurity coordination.
Experience working with controls contractors, system integrators, electrical contractors, and commissioning teams.
Experience supporting greenfield data center construction.
Familiarity with fiber-optic acceptance testing, OTDR testing, insertion-loss testing, and Tier 1 or Tier 2 certification.
Experience producing or reviewing AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or equivalent engineering documentation.
Requirements· Ability to work onsite in Robstown, Texas, for the required duration of construction and commissioning.
· Must possess and maintain valid identification and travel credentials required for domestic air travel, access to client facilities, and project site requirements, as applicable. Credentials may include a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card, a valid U.S. passport, and/or a TWIC card.

· Must be legally eligible to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available.
· Must be able to pass a background check; drug and alcohol screening.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Physical Requirements· Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly.
· See, respond, and report to possible dangerous situations.
· Comfortable with heights and able to climb stairs/ladders.
· Operating and driving a vehicle for extended periods of time on possible rough terrain
· Sitting for extended periods. Bending, reaching, kneeling, and use of a step ladder at times
· Ability to work in inclement weather and/or extreme weather-related conditions.
· Required to wear PPE/Safety gear at specific times.
· Ability to wear an N-95 mask when required.
