Medical Assistant - Occupational Medicine

  • Medical Assistant

    What You’ll Do


    As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting both patients and providers by ensuring efficient clinic flow and delivering high-quality patient care.
    • Greet and prepare patients for their visit, including gathering medical histories, vital signs, and required documentation.
    • Assist providers during exams and procedures while ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed.
    • Maintain consistent patient flow to maximize provider time and enhance the patient experience.
    • Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
    • Perform basic clinical procedures and administer medications safely as directed by the provider.
    • Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are stocked and ready.
    • Provide patients with clear instructions, education materials, and discharge information tailored to their needs.
    • Schedule follow-up appointments and tests, answering patient questions with professionalism and care.
    • Communicate effectively with providers, supervisors, and team members to support coordinated care.
    • Stay current with clinic workflows, policies, and procedures through ongoing training and education.

    What We’re Looking For


    • High School diploma required
    • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
    • Entry-level candidates welcome
    • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire)
    • Basic knowledge of medical office procedures, including phone systems, computers, and standard office equipment
    • Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

    Pay


    $19.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience
    • Night and evening shift differentials available
    • Lead differential opportunities
