Oracle Retail Merchandising Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle Retail Merchandising Developer based in India.

This is a remote role for an experienced Oracle Retail professional focused on implementing, developing, and enhancing enterprise merchandising applications.
You will work across key Oracle Retail platforms, including MFCS, RMS, RPM, ReSA, and ReIM.
The role combines technical development, solution design, integration, testing, and deployment responsibilities.
A key focus will be translating business requirements into robust functional and technical solutions.
You will collaborate closely with functional and technical stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
The position also offers opportunities to leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern integration technologies.
This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to complex Oracle Retail initiatives in a remote working environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Implement, develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle Retail Merchandising applications across platforms such as MFCS, RMS, RPM, ReSA, and ReIM.
  • Lead or contribute to Oracle Retail implementation projects from requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation enhancement.
  • Apply hands-on expertise to deliver solutions aligned with business and merchandising requirements.
  • Manage at least one end-to-end Oracle Retail MFCS implementation, covering the key stages of the implementation lifecycle.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and effective functional and technical designs.
  • Analyze business needs and determine appropriate Oracle Retail configurations, customizations, integrations, and development approaches.
  • Drive solutions through development, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand requirements, clarify business processes, and validate proposed solutions.
  • Work with technical teams to define solution architecture, integrations, interfaces, and implementation approaches.
  • Develop and maintain database components using PL/SQL.
  • Create and maintain Unix Shell Scripts to support application processes, automation, and operational activities.
  • Develop applications and solutions using Oracle APEX where required.
  • Design and integrate REST APIs using JSON and XML-based data formats.
  • Work with Kafka and related messaging technologies to support integration and event-driven requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of middleware and ESB concepts when designing and implementing enterprise integrations.
  • Develop and support integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Use AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve development efficiency and solution delivery.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, issue resolution, testing, and continuous enhancement of Oracle Retail solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to effective knowledge sharing across project teams.
Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in Oracle Retail Merchandising development and implementation.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle Retail Merchandising experience.
  • Mandatory experience delivering at least one end-to-end MFCS implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Retail applications, particularly MFCS, RMS, RPM, ReSA, and ReIM.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL development.
  • Strong experience with Unix Shell Scripting.
  • Experience developing solutions using Oracle APEX.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience working with Kafka and messaging-based integration patterns.
  • Understanding of middleware and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) concepts.
  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical designs.
  • Strong understanding of software development, testing, deployment, and implementation lifecycle practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both functional and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools and modern AI-enabled engineering practices.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective collaboration with distributed teams.
  • EPFO service history is required as part of the candidate submission process.
  • Candidates should be prepared to undergo background verification (BGV).
