- Oversee the recruiting process, identifying needs, creating job descriptions, posting positions, interviewing candidates, performing reference verifications, conducting background investigations, ordering drug tests, ordering and reviewing Motor Vehicle Records, conducting orientation, and verifying auto insurance coverage.
- Lead continual automation efforts for recruiting and the onboarding process.
- Oversee the I9 process through eVerify.
- Coordinate staffing needs with executives and post positions.
- Coordinate and participate in university and community college career fairs, recruiting interns and full-time candidates.
- Coordinate and participate in high school activities, educating and promoting the construction management profession.
- Oversee the new hire mentorship program.
- Track new hires during first year of service, reaching out to employees and supervisors for feedback.
- Promote the Company's employee referral program.
- Maintain visibility in the community as a representative of the Company by participating in organizations, committees, and events to further develop business relationships and attract candidates.
- Utilize broker and vendors to remain current on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Attend required corporate meetings, training programs, and Harkins University seminars/webinars.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Manage the recruiting process for the Company.
- Participate in community events, committees, etc. to further develop business relationships and attract candidates.
- Provide administrative support to the human resources department.
- Oversee the corporate budget for the Company's external community and professional involvement.
- Exhibit confidentiality with executive, employee, and corporate information.
- Ability to communicate professionally with executives, internal departments, corporate staff, site teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, carriers, and candidates.
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in human resources with an emphasis in recruiting.
Prior experience recruiting in the construction industry is a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management, corporate departments, project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and carriers.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Self-starter, strong work ethic, and a team player.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Harkins offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, retirement/401k, and Company Contribution plan. Additional benefits include life insurance, short & long-term disability, HSA/FSA, tuition reimbursement, and mileage and expense reimbursement. For this role, the base salary range is $75,000-$85,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
