About the Role:

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their medical journey. This position involves a blend of clinical and administrative tasks, allowing the CMA to interact directly with patients while also managing essential office functions. The CMA will be responsible for taking vital signs, assisting with examinations, and performing phlebotomy, which are all vital for accurate patient assessments. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized certifying organization; CMA, CCMA, RMA or NCMA.
  • Bilingual Spanish Speaking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a medical office or clinic.
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting healthcare providers during procedures.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and other laboratory tests as required, ensuring proper techniques and safety protocols are followed.
  • Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, fostering a supportive environment for patient inquiries.
