Project Manager in Von Ormy, Texas at Tomball Controls

The Project Manager will be responsible for providing estimates, collaborating and coordinating with other departments, and will partner with the production team to meet customer specifications. Power generation/emergency power experience required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales team to provide competitive estimates for customers
• Track project status, communicate with stakeholders, and identify potential issues
• Collaborate with production team to maintain quality and customer satisfaction
• Assemble and notate drawings for production
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
• Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations report for departmental continuous improvement
• Work safely adhere to all safety policies
• Perform other duties assigned

• Proficiency in project management practices, procedures, and processes
• Power Generation/emergency power experience required
• Strong understanding of MS Office Suite and engineering software
• Experience in the emergency power or data center field a plus
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Excellent customer service skills; for internal and external customers
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
• Experience in planning and/or project management
• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged time spent working at a computer
• Potential need for travel to customer locations (max 25% travel), both in and out of state.
• Occasionally required to step onto manufacturing shop floor
• Occasionally exposed to outside elements.
