Position Overview

As a Floater Cleaner at Velociti Services, you will provide janitorial and cleaning support based on daily staffing and operational needs. This position requires flexibility, as you may be assigned to work either morning (AM) or evening (PM) shifts depending on coverage requirements.

The Floater Cleaner will assist with employee absences, staffing shortages, and additional cleaning needs to ensure all assigned areas remain clean, safe, and properly maintained.

Scheduling and Flexibility Requirements

• Must be available to work both AM and PM shifts.

• Work schedules and shift assignments may vary from day to day based on operational needs.

• Must be flexible and willing to adjust to changing daily assignments.

• Provide coverage for scheduled employee absences, call-outs, and staffing shortages.

• Work independently or as part of a team depending on the assigned shift.

• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Communicate professionally with supervisors regarding daily assignments and scheduling changes.

Important: This is a flexible Floater Cleaner position and does not guarantee a consistent AM or PM shift. Candidates must be comfortable working varying shifts based on needs.

Responsibilities

Success Criteria:

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers professionally
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and the environment
• Instilling trust

Key Accountabilities:

• Vacuuming
• Edging
• Dusting
• Cleaning and stocking restrooms and breakrooms
• Window cleaning
• Emptying trash and transporting to proper disposal area
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• May perform other duties as assigned

• Willingness to take directions from the Cleaning Lead, Supervisor, or Manager

Physical Requirements:

Applicants for this role must be able to:

• Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds
• Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
• Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
• Standing for extended periods of time
