Senior Commercial Talent Acquisition Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Commercial Talent Acquisition Specialist based in United Kingdom.

As a Senior Commercial Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will lead high-impact recruitment initiatives across Commercial, Operations, and Support functions, focusing on senior leadership, specialist, and business-critical appointments. You will manage complex searches from initial strategy through to successful placement, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional hiring outcomes. Alongside your own recruitment portfolio, you will act as a trusted adviser and coach, helping colleagues strengthen their sourcing strategies, assessment capabilities, and stakeholder management skills. This hands-on, player-coach role combines strategic influence with practical execution in a fast-paced, international environment. You will leverage market intelligence, recruitment analytics, and innovative sourcing techniques to improve hiring quality, efficiency, and candidate experience. Your contribution will extend beyond individual placements, helping build stronger recruitment practices and greater capability across the wider Talent Acquisition team.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for senior leadership, director-level, specialist, and business-critical positions across Commercial, Operations, and Support functions, including confidential and sensitive searches.

  • Partner with senior leaders to translate business objectives into clear hiring strategies, advising on role scope, candidate profiles, seniority, location, compensation, and assessment criteria.

  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies using talent mapping, direct sourcing, market research, and personalized candidate engagement to reach high-caliber and hard-to-find talent.

  • Facilitate recruitment kick-offs, calibration sessions, and hiring discussions to align stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and support timely, evidence-based decisions.

  • Assess leadership potential, relevant experience, and transferable skills while navigating evolving requirements, complex hiring scenarios, and competing priorities.

  • Manage senior-level candidate relationships, offer negotiations, counter-offers, and sensitive conversations, ensuring trust, transparency, and momentum throughout the recruitment process.

  • Coach and support Talent Acquisition colleagues through search reviews, candidate calibration, sourcing feedback, and practical guidance on assessment and stakeholder management.

  • Help resolve stalled searches, improve recruitment strategies, and provide hands-on support for priority vacancies when additional expertise is needed.

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leadership to prioritize critical hiring needs, identify capacity constraints, and recommend practical solutions to improve team delivery.

  • Use recruitment data, market intelligence, and candidate feedback to identify risks, evaluate trade-offs, and recommend improvements across priority searches.

  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting in Greenhouse, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of hiring progress, challenges, and next steps.

  • Drive continuous improvement across sourcing, assessment, workflows, and recruitment technology, including automation where appropriate, to enhance hiring quality, speed, conversion rates, and candidate experience.

  • Promote structured, inclusive, and candidate-centered recruitment practices, sharing effective approaches and developing reusable tools and guidance that strengthen the wider team.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience delivering senior, complex, and business-critical hires across commercial and business functions, ideally within the iGaming and/or FinTech industries.

  • Demonstrated success managing leadership and director-level recruitment, from initial role scoping and talent mapping through to offer negotiation and acceptance.

  • Experience operating as a hands-on player-coach, balancing personal recruitment delivery with coaching colleagues and improving team-wide recruitment capabilities.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers, challenge hiring requirements constructively, and navigate competing business priorities.

  • Advanced practical expertise in direct sourcing, candidate engagement, talent assessment, offer negotiation, and closing candidates in competitive talent markets.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect recruitment strategies with broader business objectives while quickly developing an understanding of unfamiliar functions or talent markets.

  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and communication skills when managing confidential appointments, ambiguous requirements, and complex candidate conversations.

  • The ability to interpret recruitment metrics and market intelligence, translating insights into actionable recommendations that improve hiring outcomes.

  • Significant hands-on experience using Greenhouse for recruitment workflow management, data accuracy, reporting, and stakeholder visibility.

  • Experience improving recruitment processes, tools, or workflows; familiarity with Greenhouse integrations, automation, or other recruitment technologies is an advantage.

  • A high degree of autonomy, accountability, and ownership, combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • A strong commitment to inclusive, evidence-based hiring and delivering a thoughtful, professional candidate experience.

  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues across an international organization.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary package with individual performance-based bonuses paid quarterly.

  • 28 days of annual leave to support rest, personal commitments, and work-life balance.

  • Remote-first working environment designed to support flexibility and long-term sustainability.

  • High-quality equipment to help you perform at your best.

  • Annual company retreats offering opportunities to connect with colleagues, strengthen relationships, and build an international professional network.
