About the Role
We are seeking an organized and people-focused HR Onboarding Specialist to support the onboarding of new employees in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will help ensure new hires have a smooth transition into the company by coordinating all pre-employment and onboarding activities, including new-hire paperwork, background checks, orientations, badges, and required documentation. The HR Onboarding Specialist will work closely with hiring managers, HR team members, staffing agencies, and new employees to coordinate start dates and ensure employees are prepared for their first day. This position will support the onboarding of production, warehouse, technical, and professional employees across multiple shifts and locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources, onboarding, recruiting, administrative support, or a related role.
- Experience supporting a high-volume, fast-paced work environment; manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires from pre-employment through their first day.
- Conduct new hire orientation and review company policies and procedures.
- Collect and maintain required new hire documentation, including I-9s and employment forms.
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, badges, and other onboarding requirements.
- Communicate start dates, schedules, and first-day expectations to new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers, HR team members, and staffing agencies to coordinate onboarding needs.
- Provide bilingual support in English and Spanish to employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and track completion of onboarding requirements.
- Assist employees with general HR questions and provide ongoing HR support as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and assist with other HR duties as assigned.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
