Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Implement and maintain network security solutions and best practices.
Manage user access, permissions, and authentication systems.
Perform routine system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
Configure and support cloud-based networking solutions.
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Respond to and resolve service tickets in a timely manner.
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders on infrastructure projects.
Conduct network performance analysis and capacity planning.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking technologies.
Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Experience supporting cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working remotely.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications such as:
Cisco CCNA or CCNP
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell or Python.
Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
