Paper Cutter Operator in Cleveland, Ohio at DORN COLOR LLC

Cutter Operator sets-up, programs and operates the various types of cutting equipment. Ensure quality cutting of diverse paper, fabric, and leather material meeting customer specifications, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and production standards.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review job ticket and plan work process for correct chip dimension.
• Square and quarter coated sheets for accurate cuts.
• Make number one and number two cuts to produce the correct size color chips to fit the till.
• Place color chips in trays with a correct color ticket and put trays on racks in proper rotation.
• Trim printing, cut strips for die cutting, cut striped sheets for collating, and cut decks.
• Ensure the completion of jobs meeting quality and quantity requirements
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork (control plan, quality logs)
• Preventive maintenance: oil cutter daily, grease cutter weekly, wax table as needed, and change cutting blades.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
2. Solid basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide fractions/decimals.
3. Experience on guillotine cutters very helpful.
