Make a difference every weekend! Join our team as a Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) and help individuals with developmental disabilities live more independently, safely, and meaningfully in their community.
📅 Weekend ScheduleSaturday & Sunday — weekly or bi-weekly
Shifts Available:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
As a Residential DSP, you'll provide hands-on support and companionship to individuals in a community-based residential home. Every day is an opportunity to help someone build independence, participate in their community, and reach their personal goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meals, mobility, and household routines.
- Support individuals with their personalized care and support plans.
- Encourage participation in community activities, recreation, education, and employment.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-confidence.
- Monitor health and safety and report concerns or changes appropriately.
- Provide medication support as trained and authorized.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and other members of the support team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or similar populations preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and able to work independently.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and health screenings.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Preferred:
- Previous DSP or residential care experience.
- DSP certification or related credential.
- Experience with person-centered planning or behavior support.
- Medication administration or other healthcare training.
- Experience with electronic documentation systems.
