Dietitian (Cardiac Nutrition Specialist) | Relocation Opportunity to LibyaAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dietitian specializing in Cardiac Nutrition to join a leading cardiac healthcare facility in Libya. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team dedicated to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based nutritional interventions.

The successful candidate will provide specialized nutritional care for patients with cardiovascular disease across inpatient, outpatient, and critical care settings. You will work closely with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized nutrition plans that support recovery, enhance long-term health outcomes, and reduce the risk of disease progression and hospital readmissions.

What You'll Do
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Provide nutritional management for patients recovering from myocardial infarction, heart failure, cardiac surgery, and other cardiovascular diseases.
  • Monitor and adjust dietary plans based on clinical status, laboratory results, and treatment goals.
  • Manage dietary interventions related to sodium restriction, fluid management, cholesterol control, weight management, and calorie optimization.
  • Support nutritional care for patients in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and intensive care settings.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure nutrition plans align with overall treatment strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families on heart-healthy eating habits, lifestyle modifications, and long-term disease management.
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide guidance to support continued nutritional compliance after hospitalization.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient education programs, and clinical nutrition best practices.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian or equivalent professional certification, where applicable.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical hospital experience.
  • Strong experience in cardiac nutrition management, including heart failure, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and post-myocardial infarction care.
  • Excellent communication, counseling, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Preferred
  • Experience working in cardiovascular hospitals, cardiac centers, or specialized cardiac units.
  • Exposure to ICU and inpatient hospital nutrition management.
  • Knowledge of nutritional requirements for post-operative cardiac surgery recovery.
  • Experience supporting patients with chronic cardiovascular disease and long-term risk reduction programs.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based cardiac nutrition guidelines and therapeutic diets.
