About the Role
We are seeking a Business Office Manager to lead our billing and revenue cycle operations. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless financial experience for patients while optimizing the performance of our business office.
You will oversee daily operations, develop a high-performing billing team, and partner closely with clinical and administrative leaders to drive results.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all business office operations, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable
- Oversee claim lifecycle from submission through resolution, including denials and appeals
- Monitor key revenue cycle metrics and implement process improvements
- Supervise and develop billing team members
- Partner with front office and clinical teams to optimize workflows and patient experience
- Manage patient inquiries and ensure timely resolution of billing concerns
- Oversee refunds, credit balances, and daily financial reconciliation
- Support reporting and provide insights to leadership on financial performance
- Ensure compliance with payer requirements including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of medical billing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle operations, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and payer guidelines
- Experience managing denials, appeals, and AR performance
- Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and drive accountability
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with practice management systems and healthcare technology
Preferred:
- Degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field
- Coding or billing certifications (CPC, etc.)
