Cane & Barrel is seeking experienced front-of-house servers who thrive in a high-volume, upscale-casual environment. Located on our vibrant rooftop in downtown St. Pete, this role requires a blend of polished professionalism, high energy, and exceptional hospitality. Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience: Maintain a warm, courteous, and professional demeanor to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Order Management: Knowledgeably recommend menu items, accurately record choices, and communicate seamlessly with the kitchen and bar regarding timing and modifications.

Service Delivery: Promptly serve food, beverages, and accompaniments with high attention to detail.

Financial Integrity: Efficiently process payments, including cash, credit cards, and guest room charges, ensuring accurate change and receipts.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all local sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol service protocols.

Teamwork: Actively assist team members as needed to maintain smooth floor operations during peak volume hours.

Position Requirements

Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a server in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.

Professionalism: A driven, motivated individual who genuinely enjoys working with a diverse clientele.

Operational Skills: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, tray carrying, multi-tasking, and routine sidework.

Availability: Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and safely maneuver heavy serving trays.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. Candidates must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

What will you be doing most days?

• Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service protocol
• Consistently hold a friendly, relaxing, and courteousness demeanor that makes guests feel comfortable to ensure satisfaction
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests' choices and gives knowledgeable recommendations as necessary
• Keep the kitchen staff informed on times, updates, or any changes that need to be made to guest's orders
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering guests' choices from the kitchen/bar and deliver accompaniments and condiments as needed
• Issue bills & collects payment; including room charges, credit card payments, or cash payments with the correct change returned
• Assist other servers as needed
