Order Packer in Atlanta, Georgia at SkyChefs, LLC

Position Summary
The Packer is responsible for preparing and packing finished food products while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with production and food safety standards. This role includes labeling finished sandwiches, verifying product information, organizing completed products, and supporting the production team to meet daily operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

* Place and verify labels on finished sandwiches and other food products according to the Variable Production Schedule (VPS).
* Follow established label verification procedures to ensure accuracy.
* Count finished products and calculate the number of carts required based on the production schedule.
* Calculate assigned production run rates and organize finished products into trays.
* Maintain an efficient and organized production line.
* Follow all SkyChefs sanitation, food safety, quality, FDA, USDA, and BRC requirements.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area.
* Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Ability to push and lift up to 25 lbs.
* Ability to work around moving equipment and on wet floors.
* Ability to work in a cold production environment, including temperatures around 40F.
* Ability to walk, bend, and stand for the duration of the work shift.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow specifications, paperwork, production counts, and instructions.
* Ability to speak, read, and write English.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Basic math skills.
* Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
* Days off and schedules may change based on shift bidding and operational needs.
* Must maintain an acceptable disciplinary and attendance record, where applicable.
