WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Windsor Hospitality is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Manager to help achieve the hotel’s revenue and market share goals by soliciting new business, maintaining existing accounts, and implementing sales and marketing strategies that maximize hotel profitability. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Sales to execute against assigned goals across your designated market segments — building a strong pipeline, developing compelling proposals, and maintaining the client relationships that drive repeat business. You will uphold Windsor Hospitality’s core values — Growth, Resourcefulness, Integrity, and Teamwork (GRIT) — in every client and team interaction.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Effectively attain assigned sales, revenue, and solicitation call goals.
- Develop and execute business plans for designated market segments.
- Proactively conduct solicitation calls (phone and email), hotel site tours, and client offsite visits to generate new leads within assigned segments, leveraging all available technology and channels.
- Develop and continually enhance relationships with assigned accounts to maintain high visibility and grow market share.
- Maximize revenue across rooms, public space, food and beverage, and ancillary products and services.
- Monitor and evaluate trends within the assigned market segment; adjust strategy accordingly.
- Maintain excellent and up-to-date records of all client interactions in the sales management tool.
- Ensure all client communication and lead responses are professional, effective, and timely.
- Maintain an updated business pipeline and be prepared to share progress at any time.
- Participate in the Daily Business Review and adhere to rate quote guidelines.
- Prepare and present effective, personalized, and creative proposals.
- Negotiate and execute contracts that are fair and profitable, with required Director of Sales approval.
- Develop active communication and maintain close rapport with the Convention & Visitors Bureau, National Sales Offices, Planners Associations, Chamber of Commerce, and other key industry sources.
- Travel locally to conduct outside sales calls, promote the hotel, and review the competitive landscape.
- Attend trade shows and major market events locally and nationally; create pre- and post-trip reports.
SKILLS & ABILITIES YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or an equivalent level of education and experience.
- Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in public contact and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs, client requirements, hotel events, and industry functions.
- Ability to travel to attend workshops, trade shows, and conventions.
- Valid Driver’s License may be required.
- Proficiency in computer software and hotel sales management systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
