Job Summary:

The OCM Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the production area, including machine setup and changeovers, inventory management, and maintenance. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Machine Setup & Changeovers:
    • Change Slitter over to meet production needs.
    • Replace blades when broken or dull to ensure machine efficiency.
    • Changeover and reset the Quad machine for different production jobs.
    • Perform basic maintenance on the Quad machine, ensuring it is in working condition.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Track and manage inventory of materials to ensure adequate stock for production.
    • Issue materials as needed to support production runs.
    • Gather and prepare material for each job on the belt.
    • Receive OCM from roll truck deliveries and ensure proper handling.
  3. Production Monitoring:
    • Enter run and labor hours accurately to track production progress.
    • Print and distribute the daily production schedule each morning.
    • Create and manage the hour-by-hour board to track progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  4. Material Handling:
    • Change bags inside and outside of OCM equipment to ensure proper material handling.
    • Sleeve and bale materials as required for storage or shipment.
  5. Cleaning & Maintenance:
    • Perform routine cleaning and vacuuming of the work area to maintain a safe and clean environment.
    • Regularly clean and maintain equipment to ensure smooth operation.
  6. Documentation:
    • Print out the Shop Order and labels for proper identification and tracking of materials and products.

Education/Training Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

· Complete tasks safely and efficiently with the highest level of quality in mind.

· Keep work areas clean and organized.

· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with coworkers, customers, vendors and management.

· Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

· Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.

· Follow all company rules and policies including all safety rules and quality standards.

· Uphold all OSHA standards and maintain knowledge applicable to the responsibilities above.

· Demonstrate Nomaco core values and leadership behaviors and report any observed deviations from company expectations.

· Report safety hazards and incidents to the supervisor immediately.

· Report and correct near miss incidents or any other safety related events.

· Provide self-assessment of performance for reviews with manager.

Physical Demands:

· Frequently stand, walk, stoop, and kneel; occasionally crouch, crawl, or climb.

· Frequently use hands and arms to reach, push, and pull, and handle and feel objects, tools, or controls.

· Frequently lift and/or carry 25 pounds; occasionally lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment:

· Manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise level and moving machinery.
