Compensation and Benefits:

The Production Assembler is responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of high-quality rescue equipment and deployable telecommunication systems in accordance with engineering specifications, detailed work instructions, and quality standards. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and production documentation. This position utilizes hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and the company’s ERP system.
Responsibilities- Assemble and build mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOM), and detailed work instructions
- Install mechanical hardware, brackets, chassis, enclosures, cable assemblies, electrical components, wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, and related assemblies
- Perform precision mechanical assembly using hand, power, torque, and rivet tools as well as crimpers, wire strippers, and other manufacturing equipment
- Perform product preparation duties for welding, paint, or final assembly by installing rivnuts, grinding, polishing, cleaning, and other required preparation activities
- Identify and report quality concerns, material discrepancies, engineering issues, or process deviations before proceeding with production
- Accurately record labor, material consumption, inventory transactions, work order completion, and production activity in the company’s ERP system
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling, inventory transactions, and work order documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety procedures
- Review production quality including observation of component part fit and finish, subassembly and finished product functionality through inspection
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions to assemble products in accordance with quality standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing, production assembly, or related mechanical assembly experience
- Basic computer skills and experience using production software or ERP systems
- Three (3) or more years of mechanical and electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical wiring or cable assemblies
