As an Armed Security Officer, you will:

• Patrol museum buildings and grounds to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems.
• Conduct routine security inspections of doors, windows, gates, and restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Contact law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical personnel when appropriate.
• Investigate suspicious activity and complete detailed incident reports.
• Assist with crowd management during museum events and public programs.
• Escort unauthorized individuals from the property when necessary.
• Detain individuals suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives, when appropriate.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

• South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit (required at time of interview)
• Successful SLED background investigation
• Previous verified security experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• CPR and First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days
