Senior HVAC Sales Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior HVAC Sales Specialist based in Canada.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC sales professional to drive business growth while building strong relationships with contractors, engineers, and industry partners.
You will play a key role in supporting equipment selection, project development, and customer success across a regional market.
The position combines technical expertise, consultative selling, and relationship management within a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.
You will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and support complex HVAC projects from concept to completion.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage the sales process for HVAC products and equipment, supporting contractors and project stakeholders throughout the customer journey.
  • Provide technical input on project quotes, bids, equipment design, and product selection to ensure effective solutions.
  • Evaluate competitive products and communicate the value and benefits of proposed solutions to customers and partners.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts related to mechanical equipment issues by coordinating with technical teams when required.
  • Assist design-build contractors with project planning and act as a key point of contact throughout project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor projects, strengthen relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, customers, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and engage with prospective customers to introduce new products, technologies, and solutions.
  • Deliver product presentations and training sessions for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new sales team members through knowledge sharing and training.
  • Participate in networking activities, industry events, client meetings, and business development initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC technologies, products, standards, and industry trends through ongoing training.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a contractor-focused HVAC sales role or a related technical sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and industry practices.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, complete accurate take-offs, and prepare project pricing.
  • Proven sales expertise combined with strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with HVAC selection software and project management processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience using CRM software such as NetSuite is considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and applicable ASHRAE standards is an asset.
  • Valid G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected with customers and internal teams.
  • Must be located in the Sudbury region to support local customers, projects, and industry events.
