This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cientista de Dados IA based in Brazil.

This role is an opportunity for an experienced Data Scientist to design and deliver advanced AI and Machine Learning solutions with real business impact.
You will work across the complete data science lifecycle, from understanding business challenges to developing, deploying, and optimizing intelligent models.
The position focuses on Generative AI, Large Language Models, and scalable machine learning solutions in a highly innovative environment.
You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to transform complex challenges into actionable insights and AI-driven products.

Accountabilities:

The Cientista de Dados IA will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced data science and artificial intelligence solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise, business understanding, and the ability to deliver scalable AI models while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Lead the complete end-to-end lifecycle of Data Science and Machine Learning projects, including business understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Develop and architect Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt Engineering, and AI service integrations.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), processing and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Build, validate, and optimize Machine Learning and Deep Learning pipelines focused on scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Apply Software Engineering and MLOps best practices to ensure model quality, testing, maintainability, and continuous deployment.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate complex challenges into high-impact analytical solutions.
  • Continuously improve AI solutions by applying innovative methodologies and emerging technologies.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, with the ability to combine analytical thinking, programming expertise, and business understanding. We are looking for a professional who is comfortable working with advanced AI technologies and delivering production-ready solutions.

  • Minimum of 5 years of solid experience working in Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • Advanced or fluent English proficiency, including reading, writing, and professional communication.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Science fundamentals, including exploratory data analysis, statistical and predictive modeling, and model evaluation metrics.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python and experience with data and machine learning ecosystems such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras, and OpenCV.
  • Strong practical experience with SQL, data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation processes.
  • Practical knowledge of Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG architectures, Prompt Engineering, and AI services such as OpenAI and AWS Bedrock.
  • Experience working with cloud environments, preferably with AWS.
  • Strong understanding of Software Engineering practices, including Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
