Pre-Sales Director, North America

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pre-Sales Director, North America based in the United States.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced pre-sales professional to lead and scale a high-performing team of Solution Consultants supporting enterprise customers across North America. In this role, you will partner closely with sales, product, services, and customer teams to drive revenue growth through compelling technical solutions and value-based engagements. You will mentor talented professionals, shape pre-sales strategy, and ensure customers clearly understand the impact of innovative technology solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong SaaS expertise, executive presence, and people leadership skills to build trusted partnerships and accelerate business outcomes in a fast-growing technology environment.

Accountabilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solution Consultants, supporting career growth through coaching, feedback, training, and performance development.
  • Partner with regional sales leaders to align pre-sales strategies, prioritize resources, and ensure strong support for enterprise sales opportunities.
  • Drive strategic pre-sales initiatives and programs that contribute to revenue growth, customer engagement, and business expansion.
  • Define and communicate compelling customer value propositions, helping stakeholders understand the business impact of proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Services, Support, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to maintain alignment across customer-facing initiatives.
  • Identify customer needs, product opportunities, and technology gaps, providing insights and recommendations to product and leadership teams.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators, coaching the team toward measurable goals and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring initiatives by attracting, selecting, onboarding, and developing high-performing pre-sales talent.
  • Manage operational activities including resource planning, scheduling, reporting, expense approvals, and team performance reviews.
  • Promote process improvements across the pre-sales organization to increase efficiency, consistency, and customer impact.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or a related customer-facing technical role, preferably within a SaaS organization.
  • 3–4+ years of experience managing and developing pre-sales or technical consulting teams, ideally in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and modern business applications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise customers and complex sales cycles with a proven ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with sales, product, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven experience attracting, retaining, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to define strategies, establish performance metrics, and execute initiatives that support business growth.
  • Technical aptitude with familiarity with web technologies and enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
