What You'll Do
- A Commercial Chiller Technician diagnose large-tonnage systems, leads complex diagnostics, installations, and repairs of large-scale systems such as chillers, cooling towers, RTUs (Rooftop Units), and Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Handle cooling towers/pumps/motors and troubleshooting heavy-duty heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Overseeing junior technicians, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring workplace safety standards are met.
- Preventive Maintenance: Managing central plant operations to maximize equipment uptime and energy efficiency for large properties.
- Client Communication: Interacting directly with facility managers to explain repairs, provide quotes, and recommend system upgrades
- Represent CAMS with professionalism and urgency on every job
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of hands-on commercial and/or industrial chiller experience
- Advanced start-up, warranty, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across commercial chiller systems
- Previous VRF experience is preferred
- Current EPA Type II Certification required, NATE & factory training on major equipment brands are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of electrical schematics, refrigerant handling, brazing/welding, and computerized chiller/HVAC software/controls.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
