The Client Executive will be responsible for managing key client relationships, driving revenue growth, and developing strategic sales initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the clinical research industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify opportunities that create value for both clients and internal teams.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new business and expand existing client relationships.
- Prospect for new opportunities through outreach activities, networking, conferences, and industry engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare organizations.
- Identify customer needs and position relevant services, solutions, and technologies to address business challenges.
- Drive revenue growth by increasing adoption of solutions among existing customers and penetrating new accounts.
- Develop territory and key account plans aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
- Conduct market research and leverage industry intelligence tools to identify emerging opportunities and priority segments.
- Collaborate with service delivery, product, technology, and business teams to address customer needs and develop effective solutions.
- Manage sales activities, opportunities, contacts, and account information through CRM platforms.
- Provide strategic insights regarding market trends, customer priorities, and potential growth opportunities.
- Support annual business planning, territory reviews, and performance discussions with leadership teams.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, travel planning, and expense management processes.
- Represent the organization professionally while promoting client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in sales, account management, and business development within the clinical research or healthcare technology sector. Strong commercial skills, customer focus, and the ability to operate independently in a remote environment are essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in sales or account management within the eClinical industry or a related healthcare technology environment.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing territory strategies and key account sales plans.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify customer challenges and provide tailored solutions.
- Experience managing complex client relationships and driving business growth.
- Solid understanding of the clinical research industry, including study operations, participant protection, or human research processes.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate market opportunities and strategic fit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, to manage sales activities and pipelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with strong self-management and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 40–60% of the time.
- Competitive base salary range of $95,000–$175,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Potential eligibility for variable bonus compensation in addition to base salary.
