Senior Engineer, AI Engineering (R5450)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Engineer, AI Engineering (R5450) based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver innovative AI-powered solutions that transform how teams work and solve complex business challenges.
You will build production-ready AI capabilities, from intelligent agents and workflow automations to reusable integrations and measurement systems.
Working within a collaborative AI engineering environment, you will partner with stakeholders across technology and business functions to identify opportunities and deliver impactful solutions.
The position combines hands-on engineering with strategic problem-solving, enabling enterprise-wide adoption of secure and reliable AI capabilities.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Engineer, AI Engineering, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and improving AI-enabled solutions that support enterprise productivity, automation, and innovation. You will collaborate with technical and business teams to transform complex workflows into secure, scalable, and measurable AI capabilities.

  • Build AI-powered tools, workflow automations, agents, prompts, and integrations that improve productivity and reduce manual processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, define technical requirements, and deliver practical AI solutions.
  • Develop AI-assisted workflows including knowledge retrieval, document generation, meeting intelligence, task automation, and internal assistant capabilities.
  • Create and maintain reusable AI assets such as prompt libraries, agent templates, connectors, integration components, and enablement resources.
  • Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms, collaboration tools, data systems, and workflow automation environments.
  • Establish engineering best practices around documentation, testing, version control, monitoring, and lifecycle management for AI components.
  • Implement responsible AI controls including secure data handling, access management, output validation, audit logging, and governance standards.
  • Develop dashboards and telemetry systems to monitor AI adoption, usage, performance, costs, and operational health.
  • Support AI evaluation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization processes across production environments.
  • Analyze AI solution performance and contribute to measurable outcomes such as productivity improvements, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, legal, data, finance, and business teams to deliver reliable AI capabilities.
  • Share knowledge through AI communities of practice, technical documentation, demonstrations, and reusable implementation patterns.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong expertise in AI engineering, automation, and enterprise technology solutions. You should be comfortable working in complex environments, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions, and collaborating across multiple teams.

  • Progressive experience building enterprise software, automation solutions, AI systems, data platforms, or digital workplace technologies.
  • Hands-on experience integrating large language models, generative AI solutions, APIs, RAG systems, AI agents, or prompt-based workflows into production environments.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including API design, testing, observability, documentation, secure coding practices, and maintainable architectures.
  • Experience developing integrations with enterprise applications, collaboration platforms, knowledge repositories, data platforms, or automation systems.
  • Understanding of AI governance practices, including access controls, data classification, audit logging, prompt security, output validation, and version management.
  • Ability to analyze ambiguous business challenges and convert them into effective technical solutions.
  • Experience implementing telemetry, monitoring systems, dashboards, usage tracking, or cost and performance measurement capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in regulated, security-focused, or highly governed environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI ecosystems, including copilot platforms, workflow automation tools, RAG solutions, vector databases, and enterprise search technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with MLOps, AI evaluation frameworks, prompt testing, model monitoring, or production AI observability is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, lakehouse architectures, or similar technologies is beneficial.
  • Experience building reusable engineering components, internal platforms, templates, or enablement frameworks is a plus.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or another related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
