Electrical Engineer in San Diego, California at Sonaca North America

Position Description

Directly support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team (FST) at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, California. Duties will include:

• Leads the execution of complex tasks.
• Applies engineering techniques, principles and precedents to research, develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components.
• Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares or applies engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures.
• Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information.
• Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data results.

Experience: At least ten (10) years of hands-on experience in an engineering position. Proficient with Microsoft Office,

Education: BS degree in Engineering.

Current Secret clearance is required.

No per diem. Work location at NAS North Island, CA area. Start date is ASAP.

Base Salary Range: $70.00-76.00 per hour

This base pay range is specific to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington, and any other state that may require such disclosure. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

Has over 10 years of experience in an engineering position.

Minimum Education Requirements:

BS degree in engineering (or an additional 6 years experience as substitute)

Minimum Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, in an office environment.
