Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Nights or Weekends

Position Overview
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as one of the first points of contact for patients and plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. This position is responsible for patient check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, phone communication, payment collection, and maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm and positive in a busy healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
- Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and assist with appointment coordination
- Collect co-pays, balances, and other payments
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions
- Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff, providers, and other departments
- Assist with patient paperwork and documentation
- Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
- Address patient concerns professionally and compassionately
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Support overall clinic operations and other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Previous medical office, ophthalmology, optometry, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience with scheduling and insurance verification preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred
