About the role

The Sales Associate - Ireland will report to our Sales Manager for Ireland. They will provide a key role in supporting the growth of our fragrances, personal care, and gifting product portfolio across our existing customer base and also for new business. This is a customer-facing, field-based role involving regular visits to retail stores, independent retailers, pharmacies, gift shops, beauty outlets, and other trade customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for merchandising, sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in the cosmetics, beauty, fragrance, gifting, and consumer goods sectors. Previous experience selling consumer products to retail customers is highly desirable

What you'll do

  • Visit existing and prospective retail customers within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners, managers, and purchasing teams.
  • Present and promote the company's fragrances, personal care, and gifting product ranges.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and actively develop new business accounts.
  • Ensure products are effectively merchandised and displayed in stores.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment opportunities with customers.
  • Gather market intelligence, including competitor activity and customer feedback.
  • Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal sales initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales activities, and follow-up actions.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times and act as a brand ambassador.
  • Attend Trade shows in Ireland (this may involve bank holidays/weekend working when required)

Requirements

Experience and Skills

  • 3 Years plus sales and merchandising experience in consumer goods, FMCG, cosmetics, beauty, fragrance, personal care, gifting, or related retail sectors.
  • Strong affinity for sales and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into sales.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable spending a significant portion of time travelling and meeting customers face-to-face.
  • Proficiency in IT - Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, word, excel/databases/reporting tools (experience of SAP (Business One) a distinct advantage)
  • Valid driver's licence and own car (essential)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with fragrance, beauty, cosmetics, skincare, personal care, or gifting brands.
  • Established relationships within retail, pharmacy, gift, or beauty store channels.
  • Knowledge of merchandising and in-store promotional activities.
  • Experience managing retail accounts.
