What You'll do

The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting and supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the plant’s Quality Management System to support overall business goals. This role ensures compliance with automotive industry standards and serves as the primary liaison for quality matters with assigned customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Support the plant’s quality initiatives in alignment with company objectivesMaintain, and improve IATF 16949–compliant Quality Management System proceduresServe as the company’s quality representative in interactions with assigned customers and suppliersCollaborate with product and engineering teams to support and maintain appropriate quality methods and controlsLead structured problem-solving activities and oversee the corrective action process (e.g., 8D)Define, monitor, and report on customer satisfaction metricsAssist with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including process definition, control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructionsSupport plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives through training, documentation, and quality assurance practicesPerform additional duties as assigned What Makes You Successful

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related discipline desired.5+ years of experience in a quality function within an automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.Direct experience with TS/IATF 16949/IATF 16949 required.CMM experience required (Faro, Roemer/Hexagon, etc.).Working knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, Red X, MMOG, and other automotive quality tools.Demonstrated experience interfacing with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.Strong ability to interpret technical documents, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.Solid understanding of shop math, including geometry and trigonometry.Skilled in preparing written reports and professional correspondence.Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and suppliers.
