The Quality Inspector ensures the quality and consistency of manufactured products by performing inspections, testing materials, and verifying adherence to specifications throughout the production process. This role helps prevent defects, supports production teams, and ensures only high-quality products are released to customers.
What Makes You A Great Fit
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.Ability to identify product defects, dimensional variances, and nonconforming conditions.Ability to accurately document inspection results, maintain quality records, and complete required quality documentation.Ability to communicate inspection findings and quality issues effectively with production personnel and management.
- High school diploma or GED required Two (2) or more years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with ERP or quality management software is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training or an associate degree in manufacturing, quality, engineering technology, or a related field preferred
- SQ Certified, Quality Inspector (CQI), or other relevant quality certification
- Experience in fabricated metal manufacturing, machining, welding, or other precision manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certification, customer audits or a similar regulated manufacturing environment
