This is a client-facing functional architecture role focused on designing and delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management solutions. You will lead engagements from discovery and requirements through solution design, testing, deployment, and stabilization. The role combines deep D365 F&SCM expertise with strong business analysis, solution leadership, and stakeholder management. You will work closely with business leaders, product owners, developers, integration specialists, testers, and distributed delivery teams. Your work will help organizations modernize processes, improve operational efficiency, and implement scalable enterprise solutions. This is an opportunity to influence both solution direction and delivery quality across complex transformation initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead client engagements and solution direction: Serve as the primary functional point of contact for business stakeholders, product owners, and project sponsors while building trusted relationships and keeping solutions aligned with business priorities, scope, and long-term supportability.
  • Drive discovery and requirements: Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, backlog refinement, and fit-gap analysis; elicit and challenge requirements and translate them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules, dependencies, and priorities.
  • Design D365 F&SCM solutions: Determine whether requirements are best addressed through standard configuration, process redesign, extensions, integrations, reporting, or Power Platform capabilities, while minimizing unnecessary customization and technical debt.
  • Provide techno-functional leadership: Translate functional requirements into actionable technical direction for developers, integration teams, data specialists, and solution architects, including requirements related to APIs, OData, data entities, EDI, middleware, security, automation, and data migration.
  • Lead delivery and quality assurance: Coordinate functional workstreams across consultants, developers, testers, and client SMEs; support sprint planning, backlog management, functional testing, UAT, defect triage, release readiness, cutover, and post-deployment stabilization.
  • Guide modernization initiatives: Help clients transform or rebuild legacy platforms while balancing technical debt, operational continuity, delivery speed, business priorities, and maintainability.
  • Support data and integration initiatives: Define source-to-target mappings, validation and reconciliation requirements, business sign-off criteria, and integration needs across enterprise and third-party systems.
  • Lead and mentor teams: Provide functional direction, coaching, quality oversight, estimation, planning, and coordination across onshore, offshore, client, and partner resources.
  • Manage engagement governance: Track risks, decisions, dependencies, issues, scope changes, functional deliverables, and status updates while ensuring documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational handover materials remain current.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve business processes, solution adoption, delivery practices, and client outcomes, while contributing reusable practices and standards to future engagements.
Requirements:
  • D365 F&SCM expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, including implementation, enhancement, transformation, or application managed services engagements.
  • Functional leadership: Demonstrated experience leading functional workstreams, project teams, or delivery teams in a client-facing environment with regular interaction with senior stakeholders, process owners, and SMEs.
  • Strong domain knowledge: Expertise in one or more areas such as Supply Chain Management, Inventory, Procurement and Sourcing, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Asset Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, or Cash and Bank Management.
  • Solution architecture skills: Strong understanding of D365 F&SCM configuration, business processes, data entities, functional dependencies, extensibility principles, security roles, and integration capabilities.
  • Techno-functional capability: Ability to collaborate with X++ developers and technical teams and evaluate approaches involving configuration, extensions, APIs, OData, EDI, middleware, reporting, automation, and process change.
  • Data and integration experience: Familiarity with data migration, source-to-target mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, REST APIs, OData, data entities, and third-party integrations.
  • Agile delivery experience: Strong knowledge of user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, sprint planning, refinement, testing, UAT, defect management, and release processes.
  • Platform knowledge: Exposure to Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services (LCS), environment management, and release management is preferred.
  • Business communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex functional and technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
  • Client leadership: Strong stakeholder management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage expectations, challenge assumptions, communicate risks, and make practical recommendations.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Ability to analyze root causes, evaluate trade-offs, prioritize effectively, and create scalable, supportable solutions in complex environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications such as MB-330, MB-310, or MB-700 are preferred.
