About the Position

As a Chemical Warewashing Technician, you will manage and service assigned warewashing and chemical accounts throughout the Colorado Springs area.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment problems, complete repairs, and ensure customers receive professional and dependable service. Equipment may include commercial dish machines, laundry dispensing systems, and chemical dispensing equipment.

No two days are exactly the same. One day you may be performing preventive maintenance, and the next you may be diagnosing a plumbing, electrical, or mechanical issue at a customer location.

Previous warewashing experience is helpful but not required. We will provide hands-on training with experienced team members so you can build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the field.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely travel to customer locations and arrive within scheduled service windows
  • Perform preventive maintenance on commercial dish machines, laundry systems, and chemical dispensing equipment
  • Diagnose equipment problems and complete necessary repairs
  • Inspect hoses, fittings, pumps, electrical components, and dispensing systems
  • Follow proper lockout and safety procedures when working with electrical equipment
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment when handling chemicals or servicing equipment
  • Clean and properly address any spills that occur during service
  • Document all service calls, repairs, photographs, notes, and materials used on the company-provided tablet
  • Complete and submit preventive maintenance documentation
  • Inspect the assigned company vehicle daily and report safety or maintenance concerns
  • Maintain accurate truck inventory and replenish parts and supplies as needed
  • Keep the service vehicle clean, organized, and prepared for daily assignments
  • Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and team members
  • Adapt to changes in technology, equipment, procedures, and customer needs
  • Follow all company safety policies and equipment-manufacturer requirements

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of mechanical or equipment-service experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to safely use drills, saws, hand tools, and other service equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to operate a manual-transmission vehicle preferred
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds throughout the workday
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and work in tight spaces
  • Ability to complete required manufacturer or customer certifications
  • Previous experience with beverage, warewashing, laundry, or chemical dispensing systems is a plus

Compensation

$24.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

This is a field-based position serving customers throughout Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. The role requires regular driving, customer interaction, equipment troubleshooting, physical activity, and exposure to commercial kitchen, laundry, and service environments.

Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to use power hand tools such as drills and saws.
  • Excellent driving skills needed to drive safely and avoid all accidents.
  • Technicians will need to be good physical shape as some lifting and stooping is required.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated self-motivated and self-directed ability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with no driving restrictions.
  • Able to drive a manual shift vehicle.

Knowledge of beverage systems and specifications of systems to prevent malfunction which could lead to serious harm to self and others.

Testing and certification as required by companies that we contract with.
