Job Title: Member Solutions Representative II

Location: Plainfield Branch
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of branch management and in compliance with the Credit Union’s established policies and procedures, this position provides a variety of front-line services, such as assisting with transactions, performing account maintenance on all account types, loan interviewing, and acting as the point of contact in building strong member relationships. This position also contributes to the overall sales of the branch by identifying cross-sale opportunities with new and existing members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets members, providing friendly and professional assistance, and building positive relationships.
- Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions, which includes deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions.
- Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer in an accurate and timely manner at the end of each shift, or within other established time periods when necessary.
- Performs a variety of account and membership maintenance functions and assists with account inquiries in accordance with CPCU’s policies and procedures.
- Completes member requests for outgoing wires.
- Opens all new memberships and accounts, including fiduciary, business, IRA, HSA, and safe deposit boxes, explaining options. Prepares all paperwork and assists the member in the proper completion and signing of documents necessary to process new accounts.
- Meets with applicants in person or over the phone for the purpose of accepting loan requests and making disbursements. Explains a variety of lending options and products. Gathers sufficient information to enable underwriters to process the request accurately and efficiently. Prepares paperwork and assists the member in the proper completion and signing of documents necessary to complete the loan.
- Accepts, processes and closes Home Equity and HELOC Loans.
- Utilizes problem-solving skills to resolve member concerns and/or notifies the appropriate authority to do so. Sees the issue through to completion to ensure that the member is highly satisfied.
- Ensures compliance with branch operations and security procedures, adhering to established guidelines for the Credit Union at all times. Is responsible for performing branch opening and closing under dual control. Keeps work area safe and organized.
- Promotes credit union products and services to members and non-members. Identifies cross-selling opportunities, executes outbound calls, and meets or exceeds established sales goals.
- Assists with clerical duties such as filing, typing, and record keeping as needed.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years financial institution or retail sales experience and/or training.
- 1-2 years of previous teller or retail experience preferred.
- Ability to use various technical platforms including Microsoft office (excel, word etc.).
- Ability to work well on teams and independently while keeping internal and external service top of mind.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to foster strong member relationships.
