Lead Epic Revenue Application Analyst III - HB Claims & Remittance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Epic Revenue Application Analyst III - HB Claims & Remittance based in the United States.

This role provides senior-level leadership and technical expertise for Epic revenue applications supporting hospital billing, claims, and remittance workflows.
You will lead application analysts across complex deliverables while partnering closely with operational stakeholders, project teams, and leadership.
The position combines application configuration, workflow analysis, system implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization.
You will translate operational and regulatory requirements into scalable application solutions that improve efficiency and support high-quality healthcare operations.
The role also offers significant ownership of complex application initiatives, from requirements gathering and design through implementation, support, and evaluation.
Success requires strong Epic expertise, healthcare application experience, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage priorities independently while collaborating across teams.

Accountabilities
  • Lead application analysts in managing deliverables, deadlines, project status, and communication with leadership and operational stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate accountability for assigned work, proactively communicating project accomplishments, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations to application or project management.
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, support, and evaluation of assigned Epic clinical or business application systems.
  • Analyze and document current and future workflows by conducting stakeholder interviews and gathering information related to regulatory requirements, operational procedures, and departmental policies.
  • Design, document, build, configure, and modify complex and critical applications to meet organizational and operational requirements.
  • Research stakeholder requests and identify opportunities for application optimization using available vendor resources and technical tools.
  • Support application conversions, implementations, enhancements, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of installed software products.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation, workflow diagrams, design decisions, process flows, and other project-related materials.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and end users to investigate application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Contribute to project planning by supporting scope definition, timeline development, dependency identification, resource planning, project structure, status reporting, and issue management.
  • Develop and execute test scripts based on future-state workflows, software enhancements, fixes, and changing user requirements.
  • Maintain test scripts as applications and workflows evolve, documenting testing status, issues, troubleshooting activities, and resolution outcomes.
  • Participate in testing strategy and planning, including identifying required test scripts, test patients, resources, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with trainers to review future-state workflows and support the development and validation of training curricula.
  • Participate as a training proctor when required and help address and document questions raised during training sessions.
  • Support communication and adoption of application optimizations by creating screenshots, explanations, workflow documentation, and other user-facing materials.
  • Participate effectively in team and project meetings while balancing independent assignments with collaborative responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties and application support activities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 5 years of related experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience supporting healthcare applications or related technology environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clinical, ancillary, or business environments.
  • Hands-on experience with application system build, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support.
  • Epic certification or accreditation is required, with certification expectations to be completed within the applicable onboarding or training timeframe.
  • Candidates who do not hold the required Epic certification upon hire must be willing to actively participate in remote training or travel for required training and certification activities.
  • Strong understanding of application development and configuration processes, workflow analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
  • Ability to translate business and operational requirements into effective application solutions and clearly document technical and workflow decisions.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage scope, timelines, dependencies, issues, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to investigating complex application and workflow issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, end users, operational stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently on complex assignments while also contributing effectively to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, deadlines, and support requirements.
  • Willingness to travel to off-site locations when required for training, project activities, or other business needs.
