Job Description
At Monoova, we partner with some of the most innovative companies in the country, building world-class payment products that support the digital economy of tomorrow. As we scale rapidly, we’re looking for curious, driven, and creative minds to join us on the journey.
As a leading Payment Service Provider (PSP), we’re powering the future of money movement with our API-first platform — integrating NPP, PayTo, PayID, Direct Debit, BPAY, and cross-border transfers into one seamless solution.
Our mission? To help businesses move money smarter, faster, and safer — eliminating friction and enabling real-time experiences. With the broadest set of payment rails offered by any non-bank PSP in the country, we help our clients — many of them high-growth tech companies — reach and transact with up to 10% of all Australians.
Our values
- Integrity – We're a company built on integrity, inside and outside of our organisation.
- Empathy – We take great care to understand the perspectives of everyone in our ecosystem.
- Innovation – Individually and as an organisation, we are innovators. Everything we do today, can and will be improved tomorrow.
- Performance – We are a results-driven organisation with a commitment to technology.
Monoova's Client Success team is ultimately responsible for the complete post-sale lifecycle of a Monoova client – from onboarding, expansion, and long-term growth. Client Success partners closely with clients so they derive maximum value from their investment in our platform, which drives retention, expansion revenue, and referrals.
The Account Executive is accountable for the revenue growth and commercial health of an assigned portfolio of Monoova clients. You will become a trusted advisor to your clients, deeply understand their business and payments needs, and identify and convert opportunities for them to get more value from Monoova's platform — across account to account, FX, card acquiring, virtual accounts, and our broader payment rails.
This is a revenue-carrying role at heart: you own the pipeline, the forecast, and the commercial outcome for your portfolio. You will love this role if you are a natural relationship and business builder who is equally comfortable running a disciplined sales process and being a client's trusted payments advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end revenue pipeline for your portfolio, from relationship-building and opportunity creation through to forecasting and closing.
- Build and execute account and territory plans, proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across FX, card acquiring, virtual accounts and account to account payments.
- Take full ownership of new clients through their first 12 months, and drive portfolio growth across existing and new products.
- Prepare and deliver regular business reviews, tailored by account tier – lighter monthly touchpoints for smaller accounts and formal QBRs reviews for our Pillar and Keystone accounts
- Partner with Risk, Product, Integration, and Support to land closed-won deals smoothly and resolve time-sensitive client escalations.
- Maintain rigorous CRM and pipeline discipline, bringing well-qualified opportunities to weekly standups and monthly forecast reviews.
- Act as the voice of the client internally, feeding insights into product direction, pricing, and sales enablement.
- Own the commercial elements of the relationship – fee and pricing negotiations, invoicing follow-up, business cases for product or risk assessment for limit approvals.
- Coordinate periodic risk, compliance, and account tiering reviews for your portfolio in partnership with the Risk team.
Platform and operational enquiries are owned by Support and the GM, and new-lead or dispute calls are handled by Sales or Support, keeping your time focused on revenue growth.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience managing high-value client relationships within financial services, fintech, or payments, ideally with a track record of carrying and achieving a revenue target or quota.
- Ability to acquire and maintain a strong technical understanding of Monoova's products and services, to run commercial conversations and respond to client needs independently.
- Strong analytical skills and operating rigour – comfortable managing a disciplined pipeline, forecast, and account plan in CRM.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence, able to build trust and influence stakeholders up to senior/C-suite level.
- Demonstrated experience handling difficult clients or situations, with a track record of reaching resolution.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple complex, concurrent deals and relationships.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency and CRM experience.
- Ability to work autonomously while fostering close collaboration with Sales, Risk, Product, Integration, and Compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sophisticated commercial acumen and understanding of the underlying drivers and strategy of clients' businesses.
- Track record of leading technical or payments conversations and persuading stakeholders to act based on requirements and value.
- Familiarity with finance and payments platforms; exposure to crypto is highly desirable.
- Track record of contributing to process improvements and delivering measurable client satisfaction and revenue outcomes.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.

- Externally: Clients and Partners
- Internally: Sales, Product and Compliance
- Reporting to: Head of Client Success
