Position Overview
Davidson Academy is seeking a Christ-following, motivated, organized, detail-oriented, IT Coordinator with a passion for providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained IT environment conducive to learning for Davidson Academy’s students. The IT Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for technical support for Davidson Academy’s students, faculty, and staff. This role is a "front-line" position, responsible for triaging and resolving Tier 1 help desk requests, maintaining classroom AV systems, and assisting with the management of a hybrid on-premises and cloud server environment.

Key Responsibilities
Tier 1 Help Desk & Device Management
- Provide prompt, courteous technical assistance for student devices (iPads/Laptops) and faculty/staff devices (laptops).
- Triage, document, and resolve incoming requests in the school’s ticketing system.
- Assist with the imaging, configuration, and distribution of new hardware and software for annual "roll-outs."
- Handle basic user account tasks such as password resets and MFA troubleshooting in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
- Ensure proper technology inventory, asset tracking and licensing compliance
- Create and maintain technical documentation manuals and knowledge base
Infrastructure & Security
- Design, implement and maintain a secure, reliable and high-performance network infrastructure
- Manage servers, cloud storage, backups and disaster recovery to safeguard data and ensure business continuity
- Develop and enforce security policies, processes and access controls to protect School data and systems
- Monitor systems performance and troubleshoot technical issues across all hardware/software
- Manage printing and copier functionality for all areas of the school and communicate any issues with vendor representatives
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and installation of Ethernet cabling for wireless access points or security cameras as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot interactive whiteboards, projectors, and document cameras.
- Conduct routine checks of all classroom AV equipment to ensure 100% readiness for instruction.
Additional Requirements and Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DNS).
- Familiarity with MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, Intune, or Google Admin Console)
- Strong problem-solving and innovative mindset to continuously improve technology capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across diverse user groups
- Flexible, adaptable and able to remain current on rapidly evolving technologies
- Commitment to professional development and ongoing technical training
- Able to adapt to a rapidly changing technology environment and modify job requirements as they present themselves.
